Has anyone tried
Coca-Cola BlaK yet? I heard and mentioned it here on Nitevilla some time ago, and it was released in the US market on April 3rd, 2006, but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. If anyone in the local area has seen it (or tried it), please let me know where I can find it.
I have to think that some of the marketing for this product is intended to be silly. Maybe it is just me, but when I go to the website and hear the silly tag lines I cannot help but think someone at Coca-Cola has a sense of humor. Personally, I would have called the product, Coca-Cola Soul, or perhaps Coca-Soula. But that is just me and what the product marketing says to me.
Anyway, I am really hoping to try the
Coke effervescence and coffee essence. Hopefully I get to try it before the product tanks. Something just tells me it might tank. Especially considering I have been to three different stores and have not even seen a mention of the product. Had the release date been April 1st I would have thought it was an April Fool's Day joke. Just remember Coca-Cola, you cannot pull an April Fool's Joke after April Fool's Day, otherwise that makes you the Fool.
Comments:
Anderson Cooper apparently tried some on the air when he was subbing for Regis Philbin... and spit it out.
Then again, I liked Pepsi Kona, so maybe I'll enjoy this too.

I do not trust some media wimp. Coffee, beer and wine, I think they are acquired tastes.
I never had the opportunity to try Pepsi Kona and as I said, I am pretty sure that I will miss my opportunity at Coca-Soula before they tank the idea. If somehow Coke could hear my plight, hook me up with some and I promise a fair review. I am a coffee drinker for cryin-outloud.
I checked two more places on my way in this morning, the people behind the counters never even heard of it. Hook me up with a Coca-Cola (Soul) Blak and I will hook you up with any item from the Villa / BDFL store (http://www.cafepress.com/nitevilla) for free.

Well, apparently if you're desperate enough, you can get it on eBay.
No...I didn't think you wanted to try it that bad.
I'm waiting for the Coca-Cola mixed with coffee and cigarettes: Coca-Cola Francais
It will be a hit with the 10 AM officebreak crowd.

Coca-Cola(soul) Blak----hmm is that a new WNBA team?I am just surprised the good people at coke has yet to put zero behind the name, every other product they have has a zero behind it.
I have not seen the product in this area yet, but since Coke is from the Atl. I bet they have it in the Georgia region.

Maybe they could add a zero somehow Streeter. They could do the cool(?) Internet spelling and do something like C0ca C0la Blak (S0ul)?

Saw the umm blak soul thang at our local Target. The coke dude use to work with me at Grainger and he said the product was not moving very well in this region. He also said that Anderson Cooper did not help the product. The coke guy( Brian) said he has not tried the product, because he is not into coffee. I bought a 12 pack of that diet dr.pepper berries and cream stuff and it was good.

Yeah, Anderson Cooper sounds like a tool. I tried and like the diet dr. pepper berries and cream as well.
Yes, I am hearing that Target has the product. Julie said she was going to see if our local Target store has it. I am willing to go out on a limb and risk trying it.
